- Shoulder and Face Massage
During stress the most affected areas are the shoulders and neck. To remove fatigue and tiredness a regular massage is highly valuable a sit will provide immense relief from stress. Squeeze and knead one shoulder firmly with the opposite hand. Change the hand and repeat the same with other shoulder. For massaging the face use the fingers in slow and small circles all over the face starting from the chin and simultaneously move in the upward direction.
- Hand Massage
All other body parts are massaged using the hands, so they need proper care and massage. To improve circulation in the fingers squeeze the space between each finger with the thumb and index finger. To stretch the tendons of fingers stretch them by interlocking and pulling the fingers in the downward direction. Massage the palm in a circular motion, this will squeeze and stretch the contracted muscles providing immense relief.
- Arm and Neck Massage
Daily massage of arms helps in renewing the energy levels and prevents aches and pains. Massage the arms as kneading something starting from the wrist to the shoulders and coming back to the wrist in the same action. This will soothe and relax the muscles. Also rub the outside of each arm in order to increase the blood circulation. Use fingers and thumb to massage the back portion of the neck. Squeeze the neck muscles in a circular motion.
- Leg Massage
Legs bear the body weight, therefore needs proper care and massage. People with prolonged sitting and standing jobs get great relief from massage at the end of the day. It helps in reducing aches and improves the blood circulation Same as in arms while using both hands knead one thigh and squeeze with the thumb and fingers. Repeat the same procedure with the other leg. This will prevent fluid retention in the calves and will enhance the energy level.To massage the knees rotate the fingers lightly in smaller circles.When tired the most aching part of the leg is the calf. To massage the calf bend the leg and using the thumb knead the back of calf in a circular motion reaching the ankle of the leg.
- Foot Massage
The most neglected body part is the foot but it is the highly burdened part of the leg. Massage the foot in a stroking motion starting from the toes and reaching the ankles. In the same manner reach the toes starting from the ankles. To massage the ankles hold the sole with one hand and using the other hand move the feet clockwise and anticlockwise.At the end for better oil absorption rub the feet with the palm till its gets warm.
- Back Massage
Proper back massage can only be done with the help of other person. Sometimes relaxing back massage makes the person sleep.Make the person lie with belly resting on the floor or bed in a comfortable position. Using a stroking movement move downward with the thumb on either side of the spine and then simultaneously take the hands to the side and move back to the shoulders. Repeat the same procedure several times. Now place whole of the hand one either side of the back. In a smooth stroking movement pull one hand moving in both up and down direction. Repeat the same with the other hand.For the back shoulders squeeze the muscles from one hand to the other and knead the back of the shoulder. Repeat the same procedure with the other side. In the end, start from the back of the neck and scroll down both the hand smoothly to the end of the spine. But care should be taken that the spine should not be pressed with much pressure.
